After so many years of inertia the relatively less known Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education which manages scientific research in India is showing encouraging signs of change.Hope that this welcome trend will continue.
Having a headquarters in Dehradun, ICFRE has never able to emerge out of the shadow of Forest Research Institute whose majestic building definitely makes an everlasting impression on everyone (Please see and believe. Sadly with totally unimpressive and poor architecture Council's new building just adjacent to grand FRI is not a good cite.
However, its the council and not its building which deeds to have an impact. Hope it will get its due share of prominence.
